Summer 2008 Season Ends!It was a rather hectic end to the summer season for the band with four concerts within a very short space of time. Three visits to Loughshore Park and one at Hazelbank were meant to be the final performances of the summer. Such was the success of the band’s performance at Sentry Hill earlier in the summer, the officials at the venue asked the band if they could do another concert on 28th September to officially launch the London Olympics 2012. With the help of a few guests the band gave an entertaining concert to a constantly changing audience. It was also an opportunity for Jenny Hill to sit in the “end chair” for the first time. Showing no sign of nerves, she acquitted herself really well, playing two solo sections in “If Tomorrow Never Comes” and “My Heart Will Go On”, the main theme from the film “Titanic”. It was also the last concert for the newly married Adam Smith before he departs on his honeymoon to Australia.
