Busy Christmas Ahead For Ballyduff

It hardly seems only a few weeks have passed since the final engagement of the summer season. The band are preparing for another busy Christmas period. This starts on Thursday 27th November in Belfast at the Christmas market.

The following week on Saturday 6th December, the band will be giving a concert for the Newtownabbey Senior Citizens in St Brigid’s Church. This was a very popular event last year, with lots of audience participation.

Thursday 11th sees the band at Newtownabbey Borough Council’s Headquarters at Mossley Mill. This will be the council’s Candlelight Carol Service along with a number of primary schools from the area.

The following Thursday, 18th the Christmas shoppers will hear the band at Abbeycentre.

Of course the band will also be performing in Ballyclare on 22nd November in the Presbyterian Church hall at a charity concert organised by Mrs Vera McWilliam, a former Mayor of the borough. Also performing will be the ever popular Ballyclare Male Choir.

Unfortunately the annual Carol Concert in conjunction with Newtownabbey Borough Council won’t take place, mainly due to the fact it was almost impossible to obtain a suitable venue. It will take place next year, hopefully in the new theatre facility, on Sunday 13th December. So make a note in your diary.
