Ballyduff Brass Group

Ballyduff Silver Band’s training group, Ballyduff Brass has made an encouraging start. Six instrumentalists have joined the group, with two “more senior” players deciding that it maybe wasn’t for them. The youngest member, Jack is just 6 and has already won the “Long Note” Competition. Matthew has moved to horn already and Jessica has been making a good attempt at the cornet and also the drums! Steven, Michael’s mate is doing really well on the euphonium. Charlotte on trombone, arrived with Christopher who loves to make a loud noise on the drums!!

There will be no lessons next week as the band is playing at the Christmas Market in Belfast city centre. We’ll be back the following week (4th) as usual.

Anyone interested in joining the group should contact the bans secretary, Fiona Bennett or just turn up at St Brigid’s church on a Thursday night at 7pm. We’ll be glad to see you!
